Hey everyone,
My Company is Siemen. They are a German multinational
engineering and electronics conglomerate company, their headquarters are in
Munich and Berlin. The business was founded on the 12th of October,
1847.
If you don’t
know what a conglomerate company is, it is one company that owns a controlling
stake in a number of smaller companies, which conduct business separately. Each
of a conglomerate's subsidiary businesses runs independently of the other
business divisions, but the subsidiaries' management reports to senior
management at the parent company.
The CEO of Siemens is Joe Kaeser. He studied business
administration. The three strategies he has for Siemens all come back to the
focus of Siemens being a Pioneer. They are: to focus on innovation-driven
growth markets, get closer to our customers, and to use the power of Siemens.
Kaeser states in the Annual Report, ‘A company like ours must aim to be a leader not
only in technology but also in long-term profitability. This has nothing to do
with greed – but everything to do with maintaining our innovative strength, enhancing
our competitiveness and safeguarding jobs while remaining a trusted and
attractive partner for our share- holders and investors worldwide.’
The Main Sectors of Siemens include:
